How it works

From a list of orders to deliveries in a few minutes.

You work from your computer, in your browser. Your drivers work from the Mooovuka app.

  1. Add your parcels

    Choose your pick-up, then add each parcel with its recipient's name, cell number and address. Sending a lot? Paste the rows from Excel or Google Sheets, or upload a CSV file. We look up every address and you check it before you book.

  2. Pick a vehicle and pay

    See the price for each vehicle that can carry the parcels and choose one. You pay by card on a secure page. The card is reserved now and charged when the delivery is done.

  3. Accept a driver

    Drivers nearby offer to collect. You see who they are, their vehicle and rating, and the time they propose, and you accept the one you want.

  4. Print, hand over, confirm

    Print a label for each parcel, stick it on, and the driver does the rest. When the parcels are delivered you confirm, rate the driver and keep the waybill.

Vehicles & cover

Choose the vehicle that suits the load.

Any vehicle that fits your parcels

Scooter or motorbike, car, bakkie, van, 4-ton truck or 12-ton truck. We show a price for each one that can carry everything in your booking, and you choose.

Goods-in-transit insurance, stated plainly

Bakkie, van and truck transporters must carry goods-in-transit insurance. Scooter, motorbike and car transporters may or may not. Our Terms of Service say what is covered and what our responsibility is, so please read them before you send.

Vetted transporters

Identity and licence verification, vehicle details, and a criminal-record certificate that our team reviews. Parcels are checked at pick-up and drop-off with codes and photos.

What cannot be sent

Illegal goods, drugs or medication, firearms, weapons or ammunition, explosives or hazardous goods, cash or bank cards, jewellery or other valuables, and live animals. No single parcel may be worth more than R1,500.

Paying

Pay by card. Need something else? Ask us.

By card, when you book

You see the price before you confirm. Your card is reserved when you book (the price plus room for an optional tip) and charged when the delivery is done. Anything you were not charged is released back to your card.

Paying on set terms

If your business would rather pay on a set day each month, tell us. We look at every request individually, because we pay our drivers as the work is done. Nothing is agreed automatically.

When can my business start?

The business portal is launching soon. Email smt@mooovuka.com with your company name, what you send and how often, and we'll tell you as soon as it is ready.

Do my staff need the app?

No. Your business works in a browser on a computer (a phone browser works too). Only the drivers use the Mooovuka app.

How many parcels can I send at once?

Up to 10 parcels in one booking, from one pick-up address, each to its own recipient and address. For more, make a second booking.

How is my price worked out?

From the real road distance, the size of your parcels and the vehicle. You see the price for each vehicle that can carry your parcels before you confirm.

Can I choose which driver collects?

Yes. Drivers offer to collect and you see who they are, their vehicle and rating, and the collection time they propose. You accept the one you prefer.

What if I need to cancel?

Before a driver accepts, you are refunded in full. After a driver accepts but before pick-up starts, half the fare is kept for the driver. Once pick-up has started, a booking cannot be cancelled. To change an order, cancel it and book again. Read the details.

Do I get a VAT invoice?

Not yet. Mooovuka is not VAT registered. Every completed order has a waybill you can keep. We will tell business customers when this changes.

Is my parcel insured?

Bakkie, van and truck transporters must carry goods-in-transit insurance. Scooter, motorbike and car transporters may or may not. Our responsibility for a parcel is limited as set out in our Terms of Service.
