Who is responsible for your information
Mooovuka (Pty) Ltd, registration no. 2020/765413/07, 3 Malaga, Dainfern Ridge, Fourways, 2055. We decide why and how your information is used, so we are the "responsible party". Our Information Officer is Haydn Warmback. Our privacy notice explains what we collect and why.
Your rights
- To know. You can ask whether we hold information about you, and ask for a copy of it.
- To correct. If your information is wrong, out of date or incomplete, you can ask us to put it right.
- To delete. You can ask us to delete your information and close your account. Some records we must keep by law (see below).
- To object. You can object to us using your information for something, including for marketing messages. Where we use your information because you agreed to it, you can take that agreement back. This may mean we can no longer give you part of the service: for example, we cannot let someone carry parcels as a driver without checking who they are.
- To complain. If you are not happy with how we handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator (details below). We would like the chance to put it right first.

How we make sure it is you
Anyone can type any name into a form, so before we show, correct or delete anything we check that the request really comes from you. If you have a Mooovuka account, please use the email address on that account. We may email you a question about your account. We will never ask you for your password, a card number or a code sent to your phone.
How long we take
We aim to answer within 30 days. If we need longer, we will tell you why. We tell you the result by email.
What we may have to keep
Some laws, and some safety needs, mean we cannot delete everything straight away. When you ask us to delete your information, we delete or remove what identifies you from everything we are not required or entitled to keep. We may keep:
- Payment and order records. Tax and company law require us to keep accounting records. We keep payment records for 7 years.
- Complaint records. The rules of ICASA, the postal regulator, require us to keep complaint records for 5 years.
- Information we need for a claim, dispute, incident or police matter that is still open.
- A record that an account was closed for safety reasons, so that a person who was removed from Mooovuka cannot simply register again.
When we keep information for one of these reasons, we keep only what we need, we limit who can see it, and we delete it or remove what identifies you when the reason ends. We will tell you what we kept and why.
Marketing messages
If you asked us to tell you when the app launches, you can reply to any of those emails to be removed. You can also use the form above and choose "Stop using my information for something".
The Information Regulator
You have the right to complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa): inforegulator.org.za, Woodmead North Office Park, 54 Maxwell Drive, Woodmead, Johannesburg, 2017.
